I appreciate and agree with many of your comments.  Just for a point of clarification only the superintendent and treasurer are on a equal playing field in terms of the organizational hierarchy.  Both are hired and report directly to the board.  Neither has authority over the other.  This can serve as an important point in clarification when trying to bring the financial and leadership components together to reach consensus.  The unfortunate part of school finance and reality as the technology vision will be unique to the limitations of districts.  In my opinion, a simple but key component to freeing up dollars in most district lies in the automation of functions.lIn our world we spend and waste countless personnel dollars for functions that can be streamlined and automated.  I believe this is a starting point for an outsourcing partner in technology.  A true audit of functions and systems.  Just some inital thoughts.</description>
